abella, thank you for reminding me that verse. What you said is true--- there are so many blessings to be thankful for---

Though some people only see other people's mistakes, there are still those who become blessings at work.

Congratulations on your new site. I will be adding you to my blog roll both at Baguio Insider and Chuvatech.

Am hoping to read more about your ancestors and look forward to seeing the photos.

Personally, I cannot understand how folks could have ever looked down on the wonderful Igorots -- so rich in culture and history -- shame on your shallow and insecure classmates!

Kayni, yes the nursing profession is also a calling. My mom has been a nurse back in the 80's. I remember during that time that there were only limited job opportunities for nurses (locally) that's why she had to sacrifice to work abroad to help augment for our finances. True enough, her hard work helped me finish my studies. Up to now she still works abroad to send my siblings to school. I really wish she could come back home and be with us for a longer time.

as long as you're happy with what you're doing, that's all that counts. i still believe that nursing needs a calling - not everyone can be a nurse, and i don't like the fact that people are just going into nursing just because it's going to make them money or take them abroad. in the past, nursing is about genuine, good hearted service to the sick and suffering. it's not a way to make money or go abroad.
