Lemon Grass is common on the mountainsides where we used to play. We also called it tiger grass bercause it would usually “give” us cuts on our legs and arms whenever we pass by it. I loved the smell of this grass, when we were young, we would fold the leaves several times to gets its scent out. It smelled like halls lemon candy.

Well now, the grass is being processed to tea— LEMON GRASS TEA. It tastes really good than those commercialized tea in tea bags. Benguet State University—Bokod Campus, process lemon grass into tea and soap. And they have to grow lemon grass because the demand for their tea is high.

(Maybe you will be looking for lemon grass when you get to areas near BSU-Bokod and you will not see any because it has been processed already.)
