Exactly Eleven years ago, I felt excited when I learned from my classmate that I passed the UPCAT. I’m sure a lot of graduating students all around the country are very excited (too) and nervous to know whether they passed the UPCAT or not.

Becoming an “Iskolar ng Bayan” is really an honor and a privilege that is why those who are able to enroll at UP should do their best too. Students who enroll in other state universities like the Benguet State University are also considered “Iskolar ng Bayan” since their tuition fees are subsidized.

Most students from other state universities think that only UP students are considered “Iskolars ng Bayan”, but then they are too. They are being offered low tuition fees, lower than UP tuition fees, because fees are subsidized by the government.
